ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Thermal Glass is a leading Australian manufacturer of high-performance, energy-efficient insulated glass systems, proudly serving the commercial refrigeration, wine cellar, cold room and architectural design sectors since 1994. Originally established to fill a gap in the market for locally made thermal glazing, the business was acquired by Thomas in 2015, who has since modernised opera=ons and scaled production to meet growing national demand.
Based in Meadowbrook, Queensland, we specialise in custom heated and double-glazed glass, including argon gas-filled systems, tailored for everything from display fridges and cold rooms to bespoke wine cellars and premium residential projects.
With a focus on innovation, craftsmanship and reliability, our in-house manufacturing enables fast lead times, strict quality control, and fully customised solutions. We proudly partner with leading builders, architects and shopfitters across Australia and New Zealand, delivering condensation-free, thermally efficient glass that enhances performance, visibility and design in temperature-controlled environments.

BEHIND THE SUCCESS OF THERMAL GLASS...
Is husband-and-wife duo, Thomas and Kelly Vaughan, whose leadership, passion and deep industry knowledge have transformed the business into a leading force in the insulated glass sector. Originally founded in Lismore in 1994, the company relocated to Brisbane under the direction of David May in 1997. Thomas began his journey with Thermal Glass in 2002 as a labourer, learning the business from the ground up. His attention to detail, technical expertise and natural leadership saw him rise through the ranks to foreman. In 2015, Thomas and Kelly proudly acquired the business, bringing a fresh, future-focused vision while preserving the integrity of its original foundation.
Together, they’ve modernised operations, invested in cutting-edge manufacturing processes and expanded the product range, all while keeping the business 100% Australian-owned and operated. With Thomas’ hands-on experience and Kelly’s operational and strategic oversight, the pair have built a business grounded in innovation, precision and personalised service. Today, Thermal Glass is known for delivering premium-quality insulated and heated glazing systems to residential, commercial and refrigeration clients across Australia and New Zealand. As a proud family-run operation, the Vaughans continue to lead with integrity, craftsmanship and a genuine commitment to building long-term relationships across the industry.
